Mon, Aug 20, 1883

halled the trap   got 15 Bbls of Tinkers

Walked in home and went to Portland to see Mr Dyer about the Seine and ???jiger???

very warm calm

Tue, Aug 21, 1883

Went to Portland after the Sch to go out to the Island Seining

arrived at 11   went to Black Point etc

put the new bole and bottom together

very warm   wind West

Wed, Aug 22, 1883

Ram Island   quite sick in the morning

hall the traps got 3 three Bbls of small fish

quite a heavy sea   stove both ??ordis??

Took the Emly fladdine?? to Richmons Island

Thu, Aug 23, 1883

Ram Island   a very rough sea

halled one trap   got two Bbls of trash

number of the stakes came up

wind SW fresh

Fri, Aug 24, 1883

halled the traps got 5 Bbls of small fish

took the Lint Shore and a number of stakes

quite a heavy sea sunny

the Yankee Maid went in to Portland

halled the tent up on the bank and spread it

at work most of the day driving stakes and at work on the pound getting ready to set

very warm light wind and calm

At work hard all day driving stakes

light baffling winds and calm

At work driving stakes and getting the pound in the boat

took the Sch over to R I roads

Stopped on board the Yankee Maid all night

At work getting the Boal on and fighting sand all day

wind NE with a heavy sea on

at work mainly the trap etc.

light winds and calm

Ram Island

drove some stakes in the morning and at night   calm

fine pleasant weather   calm

had a message to come in to Portland in morning
