At home   wind North East fresh with drizly rain

Steamer Sarnia sailed this morning   last trip

up to the shops in the morning

Sat, May 5, 1883

Went to Portland in afternoon

Settled up with BJ Willard $10.40

Paid Mr. Pierce 1.55 -- bought Butter etc. papers .20

got home at 330 - rainy

Went to Portland in forenoon

Went to Portland   bought some troll gear

At home rigging troll gear

Went clamming in morning on Bangor Island

got full bush (bushel?)

light baffling winds

fixing up gear etc

overcast raining part of the day   calm

baited troll   shelled some clams etc

at work about home

Simontons Cove

clear pleasant fine weather

took trolls to the boat   got ready for fishing

planted some peas and potatoes etc.

a sleepless night

At home

clear wind NW in morning

went to the beach

Mon, May 14, 1883

On Drunker Ledge fishing in rowboat

caught 1300 lbs

got home at 6

fish 1.50 per hundred

fine pleasant weather with baffling winds

Tue, May 15, 1883

At home - Wind Eastly with rain in fore noon

went to the Shop bought number of things to plant

paid 4.60 cash
